Star Destroyers can and will punch above their weight in a ridiculous way. The SINGLE weakness SDs have is weak AA which means that you should almost exclusively be using your hangar space for TIE/LN fighters or TIE interceptors or, best of all, TIE defenders (hnnnng).

Just make sure to include enough that have hangars so you can have fighter coverage, and lots of it. There really isn't one kind that's bad, they all have their uses so just find the mix you need/want. Your entire fleet capacity should be consumed by making star destroyers of all kinds and sizes. Besides that they have a cruiser with the colonize ability as well as a dedicated colonizer.īesides that in terms of long term strategy there really is only one right answer. How are you trying to expand? I believe the Imperial I capital ship, available early on, has a colonize ability. Ok well Empire is easily the single best faction, with both versatility and firepower like none other. I usually play with the Empire, so that may be the case, as I tend to spam ISD-II (CMD or something) to try and invade in as many hyperspace corridors as possible, but I always seem to be way slower with that than my opponents' (whether AI or not).ĭo you know any good strategies for sorta "early boom" or maybe some help with choosing factions?
